This year's late summer Klasse Klima spent their annual residency once more at the "Stechlin Institute“ in Neuroofen, Brandenburg. While starting into the autumn we reflected on last year's projects, nurtured ourselves and bureaucratic structures, started the orga kick-off for this year's seminar, and the planning of upcoming exciting projects. The "Stechlin Institute" is a social sculpture where the artists Romy and Stef host other artists and activists and offer a place to think and work in the middle of the forest. The house is a former Prussian mansion that is lovingly renovated piece by piece with a claim to eco-sufficiency. This year we also had guests. With Theresa from Netzwerk "Klimajournalismus", we arrived in Neuroofen through nature-writing. We wrote inside and about the forest and learned about the practice of the network that works for the preservation of livelihoods for all living things on this planet. We spent another morning at "Good Food Syndicate" harvesting colorful, diverse, delicious organic vegetables and later cooking them together. With Robert, we talked about digital security and media, tech as well and activism. One of the nicest experiences was planting a walnut tree together with Stef. The week ended with a wild weekend where we invited collaborators to imagine collective futures and discussed perspectives and approaches for a „Studium Planetare“. Thanks for the great time at the Stechlin Institute!
